In our last post on Red Melt Jeans, we talked all about the company and factory behind the product. Well today, we are here to tell you all about these lovely custom designed, hand made jeans! Let me start off by saying that we have never had any article of clothing custom made for our bodies, so this was a completely new experience for us!
Dan chose the slim straight in raw denim for his pair, which means they are not treated or washed for a crisp look. Mine are the slim straight in skyline wash which is their medium wash and it is also lightly sanded to give it a more worn-in feel. We were ecstatic when we found out our jeans were ready, but still a little nervous. What if we didn’t do the measurements right and our jeans didn’t fit?! So it felt even better when we slid into our newly made jeans that exceeded both of our expectations! The color, the fit, everything was as if the jeans were custom designed specifically for each of us, oh wait, that’s because they were!
These jeans have quickly risen to our favorite pairs of jeans. Dan even wore his on our trip to LA, which we will be posting pictures from very soon. But last weekend we decided to wear them around the city that they were custom designed in, right here in Chicago!
Our day started out in Ravenswood on none other than Ravenswood Boulevard. This street is one Chicago’s many hidden gems containing Julius Meinl coffee bar, ARTango, a restaurant and loft space (side note: we looked in to getting married here but it was a little bit too small for what we needed), Koval Distillery, and also nearby- Begyle Brewing.
We spent the morning walking around the neighborhood cafes and shops and snapping photos in our comfy and stylish Red Malt Denim Jeans!
