The shoot was a lot of fun to day because the weather was beautiful, it wasn’t too windy, and somehow we were the only two people in this forest. I really wanted to take some photos where there were lots of leaves and tress so we headed to the suburbs to take some photos in a nearby forest preserve. Instead of going on the walking path, we drove down the road a bit and there was a pull off spot for only like 2 cars right next to the woods and I thought that looked way more appealing than a trail full of people. So we spent a lot of time taking as many photos as possible right in the golden hour. It had all of the perfect conditions to make for a really fun time.
I’m going to miss the crunchy leaves and fall colors. It is sad to see the colors change so fast and now the trees are bare and they sky is gray. I love living in the city but I miss nature walks and riding my bike through forest preserves. Luckily there are places not too far away that we can visit when we need to get away from the city.
Today Dan and I are driving around the suburbs to hit up both of our families Thanksgiving gatherings. It is great to get to see everyone, but unfortunately it makes for a day full of driving. We hope that you have a wonderful Thanksgiving (if you celebrate) with family and friends or else have a wonderful Thursday!
P.S. Dan isn’t too thrilled about it, but it is actually his 30th birthday today! He doesn’t want to share his birthday with another holiday, which is understandable, but at least her gets to spend time off work with family. Wish him a happy birthday on his Instagram if you get a chance!
